Stillwater Newspress 17 May 1998 Associated NewspressThe Oklahoma Lake Patrol is investigating the apparent drowning of a Nowata man, whose body was found at Oologah Lake in northeastern Oklahoma.
Roy Eugene Noblitt, 48, was pulled from the lake early Saturday. The patrol believes he drowned two miles east of the Double Creek boat ramp and a mile southwest of Poor Boy Landing between 6 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators said they have not determined how Noblitt drowned because his boat has not been recovered.
The lake patrol also reported Saturday the investigation of the death of a Lexington man.
Ryan Robert Hubbell, 35, was found in three feet of water 1 1/2 mile northeast of his anchored boat on Lake Konowa about 1:48 p.m.
The patrol suspects Hubbell drowned between 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday. The patrol was notified about 1 a.m. Saturday.
